OBJECTIVEThe primary objective of our library is to support the educational and research programs of the institute, by providing physical and intellectual access to information consistent with the present and the anticipated educational and research requirements of the institute. In accordance with the objectives of the institute, the library aims to develop a comprehensive collection of documents useful for the faculty and the research community of the institute. Libraries of Amrapali Group of Institutes provide quality services to the students, teachers & research scholars, supporting teaching and learning activities. Spread over a cumulative area of 15,000 sq feet and with a cumulative collection of more than 65,000 documents, our libraries are one of the richest among private institutions in the region. The fact is justified by the fact that in a very short span of time we have fully automated library services.
COLLECTIONAmrapali Group of Institutes' Library has a remarkably specialized collection of more than 10,000 unique titles and 65,000 volumes in the field of Management studies, Computer Science, Hotel Management, Engineering, Education, Library Science, Basic Science and Humanities. Moreover, the Library collections support study and teaching across the institution's broad range of non-professional programmes in Humanities, Social Sciences and Sciences, as well as an expanding set of interdisciplinary initiatives. The collection includes Books, Dissertation, Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Periodicals, CD-ROMs and maps. The library has been using Alice For Windows (AFW), an Integrated Library Management software package with all the modules for the library housekeeping operations. The library Online Catalogue database has more than 70,000 records of books (Bibliographic Information) and information about back volumes of periodicals since 2009. Using AFW and OPAC, users can search the Library Online Catalogue on intranet by Author, Title, Subject, and keywords. Also, the users can know the latest additions of periodicals and books and the status of a document (whether on shelf or on issue). | ||||||||
